Uashat mak Mani-utenam, July 3, 2026 — The committee of the Inter-Band Indigenous Games 2027 is proud to announce the official launch of preparations for the 17th edition of the Games, which will take place from July 3 to 10, 2027, in Uashat mak Mani-utenam.
Over the coming year, the committee will focus its efforts on welcoming nearly 1,200 athletes from across Quebec and Labrador. This edition promises to be a unifying event that fosters pride and creates lasting memories for all participants.
The launch of the preparations is also marked by the unveiling of the new JAIB 2027 logo. Inspired by the culture, the community, and the values of excellence, perseverance, and unity, this symbol reflects the identity and aspirations of the 17th edition of the Games.
The committee is also pleased to announce the official launch of the Games’ website. One of the most significant additions to this edition is the introduction of a component specifically designed for children with special needs. This initiative demonstrates the committee’s commitment to making the Games even more inclusive, accessible, and representative of the values of participation and personal achievement.
The organizing committee would also like to acknowledge the invaluable contribution of the City of Sept-Îles, whose support and collaboration—particularly through the provision of sports facilities—will play an important role in the success of the event.
